We will be conducting our first test of our emergency systems for this school year on Thursday, August 15, 2024. This is a change from our original date of August 1, 2024.
We still have a significant portion of families of returning students who have not yet completed their returning student registration. We would like to encourage families who have not done so yet to complete their returning student registration within the next week so that when we run our test on August 15th, all contact information will be accurate.
Please note that we have been using our communication systems, and they are fully operational. We are conducting this test to ensure all contact information in PowerSchool is accurate.
In the event of an emergency, the information currently in PowerSchool is the information that will be used to communicate with families.
If you have your cell phone number and email address in PowerSchool, you should receive BOTH a text and an email of the emergency test of the VUSD Emergency System. If you do not receive a message on August 15th, please contact your child’s school on August 16th to ensure your information is accurate in PowerSchool.
